Terms and Conditions

Updated: effective date as of January 2026

Student Athlete Foundation (“Foundation”) is a nonprofit organization organized and operated under the laws of the State of New Jersey. The Foundation’s charitable mission is to support deserving student-athletes by promoting academic achievement, athletic participation, personal character, and access to educational opportunity.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all scholarship awards and educational enrichment programs (“Programs”) administered by the Foundation. By submitting an application, request, or accepting funds, applicants, recipients, parents/guardians, and Parisi Academy (“Participants”) acknowledge and agree to these Terms.

1. Nature of the Programs

The Foundation’s Programs are charitable, mission-based awards, not entitlements or contractual guarantees. Availability of funding is subject to donations, organizational priorities, and program capacity.

Applying for or receiving funds does not create a legal right to future funding, continued support, or renewal.

2. Eligibility

a. Scholarship Eligibility

To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be enrolled in, or accepted to, an accredited educational institution approved by the Foundation.
  • Demonstrate financial need in accordance with Foundation guidelines.
  • Scholarship eligibility is contingent upon the family’s ability to pay or otherwise cover at least 85% of the applicable tuition for the respective high school or Parisi Academy.
  • Exhibit academic effort, athletic participation, and character consistent with the Foundation’s mission.
  • Submit a complete and truthful application with required documentation by the stated deadline.

Meeting eligibility criteria does not guarantee an award.

b. Educational Enrichment Eligibility

Educational enrichment funding may be awarded to Parisi Academy for initiatives that support student academic, athletic, and character development. Eligible uses may include educational enhancements or student development initiatives aligned with the Foundation’s mission.

3. Selection Considerations & Discretion

Awards are determined through a holistic review process. General factors considered may include, but are not limited to:

  • Academic performance and commitment
  • Athletic participation and effort
  • Demonstrated character and conduct
  • Financial need
  • Alignment with the Foundation’s charitable mission

All funding decisions are made at the sole discretion of the Foundation in accordance with its governing documents and applicable law. The Foundation is not obligated to fund all qualified applicants and is not required to provide explanations, rankings, or appeals.

a. Additional Conditions Upon Scholarship Acceptance

Receipt of any scholarship or educational support award from the Student Athlete Foundation is conditional upon execution of a separate Scholarship Acceptance Agreement.

b. Scholarship Acceptance Agreement

The Scholarship Acceptance Agreement sets forth specific, binding terms and obligations, which may include academic expectations, conduct standards, participation requirements, permitted use of funds, reporting obligations, and circumstances under which funding may be modified, suspended, terminated, or required to be repaid.

Failure to execute or comply with the Scholarship Acceptance Agreement may result in the award being withdrawn or terminated.

4. Conflict-of-Interest Assurance

The Foundation maintains policies and procedures designed to ensure scholarship and funding decisions are made fairly, ethically, and in the best interests of the organization. Individuals involved in decision-making are required to comply with conflict-of-interest standards intended to prevent favoritism, undue influence, or personal benefit.

5. Use of Funds

a. Scholarships

Scholarship funds may only be used for approved educational or athletic expenses, such as tuition and mandatory school fees. Funds may not be used for personal expenses, discretionary costs, or non-approved purposes.

b. Educational Enrichment Funds

Educational enrichment funds must be used strictly for the purposes approved by the Foundation. Parisi Academy may be required to provide documentation or reporting demonstrating appropriate use. Misuse of funds may result in suspension, termination, and/or repayment obligations where permitted by law.

6. Recipient Expectations & Ongoing Eligibility

Scholarship recipients are expected to:

  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined by their school.
  • Continue participation in approved athletic programs, when applicable.
  • Demonstrate conduct consistent with the Foundation’s values both on and off the field.

Failure to meet these expectations may result in reduction, suspension, or termination of funding at the Foundation’s discretion.

7. Reporting & Oversight

The Foundation may request reasonable academic updates, progress reports, or confirmations of enrollment and participation to ensure funds are being used in furtherance of the Foundation’s mission.

Failure to provide requested information may result in the discontinuation of support.

8. Modification, Suspension, or Termination of Programs

The Foundation reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to:

  • Modify eligibility criteria or program requirements,
  • Suspend, reduce, or terminate any award or Program,
  • Discontinue funding due to changes in funding availability, compliance concerns, or mission priorities.

Such actions shall not give rise to any claim against the Foundation.

9. Non-Discrimination

The Foundation does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, sex, gender identity, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or any other status protected by applicable law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Foundation shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from participation in the Programs, including but not limited to the denial, modification, or termination of funding.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.

12. Privacy

Personal information submitted to the Foundation will be used solely for administering its Programs and handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and nonprofit best practices as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

By executing a Media Release Form, a student-athlete (or parent/guardian if under 18) grants the Foundation permission to use photographs, video, audio, and limited biographical information for mission-related purposes, including education, promotion, fundraising, and reporting.

  • No compensation is provided for such use.
  • Consent may be revoked in writing for future use only.
